IMPORTANT UPDATE March 16, 2020 10:50am:
IBI Families and Staff,
It pains us to have to send this update. We have done everything humanly possible to avoid this. But at this point we must announce to everyone that as of 5pm today, March 16, 2020 we will be temporarily closed. As per the recommendation by Dr David Williams, Ontario chief medical officer of heath.
There will be no services at any of the clinics, no in home sessions, no social skills, no parent training, no workshops, and no respite services during this time.
We will tentatively reopen on April 6, 2020 based on the situation at that time, which is changing and evolving minute by minute.
Please watch our Facebook page, email and website for updates as we receive them.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your complete understanding during these trying times. If you have any questions at all please reach out to us by email.
Stay healthy and enjoy your family time together.

CoVid-19 Update and our Policies
We want to assure you that the health and well-being of our students and staff remains a top priority for IBI Behavioural Services. We are in regular contact with our local health authority, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU), and continue to take their direction on all matters related to COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus).
In the event that you and/or your child is at the risk of being affected we recommend the following safety measures.
If your child or you are exhibiting any symptoms, we request that you cancel your session and do not come into the center. We would ask that you self-quarantine for 14 days as per the World Health Organization’s recommendations. Upon your return to the center we would ask for a Doctor’s note.
If your child begins exhibiting any symptoms while attending their session at IBI Behavioural Services, we will call you immediately and request that your child be picked up as soon as possible.
If you have any international travel plans or are just returning from a trip, involving you or your child we ask that you inform us at email@example.com.
Actions we have taken to help stop the spread of CoVid-19:
Frequent disinfecting of all surfaces, desks, tables, toys etc.
Promote regular and thorough hand washing by staff and clients. Extra signs around the center to remind everyone to wash and sanitize. Hand sanitizer on the front desk to be used when everyone walks in the door. Extra hand sanitizer around the center.
Our staff have all been briefed that if anyone with even a mild cough or low-grade fever (37.3 C or more) they will either be sent home or need to stay at home. Also, if the need to take simple medications such as acetaminophen/ibuprofen they will be requested to stay home as they may mask symptoms of infection.
We have cancelled ALL outings, field trips and client community outings that may be part of their programming. If you have paid money for any of the above mentioned, we will be rebooking at a later date.
Please know that we will update you by email, post on our website and Facebook as soon as possible if anything at all changes. We appreciate all of your continued patience and support as we work through this challenging situation together!!
Your family’s health is our top priority!
